Speakers:
Prof. Chenming Hu, UC Berkeley Member of US National Academy of Engineering IEEE Fellow
Chenming Hu is Professor Emeritus at UC Berkeley and former CTO of TSMC. He is known for developing the 3D transistor FinFET that powers today’s smartphones and computers. He received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation from President Obama, UC Berkeley’s highest honor for teaching, and the highest honor of IEEE – Medal of Honor.
Dr. Allen Y. Yang, Executive Director of FHL Vive Center, UC Berkeley
Dr. Allen Y. Yang is a Principal Investigator at UC Berkeley and a Co-Founder and CTO of Grafty, Inc. Previously he served as CTO and Acting COO of Atheer Inc. His primary research areas include high-dimensional pattern recognition, computer vision, image processing, and applications in motion segmentation, image segmentation, face recognition, and sensor networks. He has published four books/chapters, 14 journal papers and more than 30 conference papers. He is also an inventor of 12 US patents/applications.
Esther Wojcicki, Board Member & Dean of Harmony Plus
Esther Wojcicki is One of the top public school teachers with 40+ years of experience, Consultant of US department of education, and Board Member & Dean of Harmony Plus. She was the author of the book How to Raise Successful People. She’s also the mother of three highly successful daughters: Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube, Anne Wojcicki, who is the CEO of 23andMe, and Janet Wojcicki, a professor in the medical school at the University of California, San Francisco.
Mr. Shin Wei., Founder and CEO of IvyMax Academy
As a Penn graduate, Mr. Wei had a very successful high-tech career and on Wall Street before he founded IvyMax with Dr. Miller, former Provost and Vice President of Stanford University. For more than a decade, Mr. Wei has been helping aspiring Asian students get admitted to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, UPenn, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and other prestigious universities. Every summer and winter, Mr. Wei takes high school students to do philanthropy works in rural China and Nepal such as microfinance, sustainable environmental engineering, public health, and human rights projects. Many of his students have developed passion, strong leadership skills and social responsibility through philanthropy work and naturally became the candidates for the Ivy League universities.
Charlie Guo, X-Camp Academy Co-founder
Dr. Cheng-en Guo founded X-Camp Academy, a programming education institute for 5-12th Graders with his Google colleagues Yuan Xu in 2017. It takes only 3.5 years to make 13 students from novice learners enter the United States of America Computing Olympiad (USACO) platinum division and 1 student has been elected in the 2021 USA Training Camp. Dr. Guo earned his PHD degree in Artificial Intelligence from UCLA with more than 20 papers in international journals and two patents in the United States, and his B.S from Tsinghua University in mechanical engineering and computer science.
Kirk Mansfield, Famous coach from Able2Shine, Youtube and Google’s team leader
Kirk is a successful speaker who can get anyone to talk and laugh. He finds great pleasure in aiding individuals as they transfer complex and creative thoughts from the mind to the paper. Kirk has a Master’s degree in educational administration and a minor in speech communication, making him able to create an orderly learning environment, as well be a stellar example of a confident public speaker. His experience comes from working for big companies such as Youtube and Google, as a team leader and trainer. He has also been teaching writing for over two decades. He began his career as a writer for the high school newspaper. and then as a guest editor for the college newspaper. He has co-edited 2 novels. In his class, students will be able to successfully build interesting speech content, socialize in a group, and become an overall more effective communicator.
