CASPA 2014 Student Scholarship
The Chinese American Semiconductor Professional Association (CASPA) is now accepting applications for 2014 Student Scholarship. The deadline for the application is September 20, 2014. The final award recipients will be notified before October 04, 2014 and awards will be presented at the CASPA Annual Conference Dinner Banquet on October 11, 2014.
Following a long-standing tradition of pursuing excellence and community service, CASPA has established this award program to encourage and recognize the outstanding scholastic and special achievements of the children of its members. Selection criteria will be based on a balanced achievement of applicants' academic accomplishments, participation in extracurricular activities, and involvement in community service. Each award winner will be invited to attend the CASPA 2014 Annual Conference Banquet and receive a certificate of scholarship and a check for the awards.
All applicants must meet the following qualifications:
a) The applicant must be entering his/her senior year in high school at the time of application.
b) One of his/her parents must be a CASPA life-time member before application.
All qualified applicants, please contact Dr. Liang Peng, chairman of CASPA’s Student Scholarship Award Committee via email@example.com, and submit following application material before deadline September 20, 2014.
1. A completed application form (Template in Page 2).
2. A copy of high school transcript and SAT1 score report
3. An essay in one of the following two categories with no more than 300 words in MS Word doc:
a) Personal Interests, Accomplishments, or Goals
b) Why should I be awarded a CASPA Student Scholarship?
4. A personal information sheet in MS word doc ( Template in Page 3)
a) Name of Applicant (English, Chinese)
b) School of Applicant
c) Parents’ names of Applicant
d) A personal photo with A passport picture style (to be published in CASPA Website and Annual Conference Proceedings)
e) A brief summary of honors / awards received, offices of student organizations held, extracurricular activities, community services involved, volunteer work experiences, etc.
