Chairman's Words

Dear CASPA Members and Friends,

Just over a week ago, on October 21-23, 2016, CASPA celebrated our 25th anniversary in a 3-day program and completed the Presidential Transition at the heart of Silicon Valley. Looking Forward was the theme for the entire weekend program. Based on our successful experience in Silicon Valley, we look ahead as new and emerging technologies will shape the coming quarter century. The Keynote speech delivered by Martin Anstice, President and CEO of Lam Research, outlined his vision for the semiconductor industry, both present and future. In addition, CASPA had the distinct honor to present Dr.Chenming Hu, Professor at UC Berkeley, with CASPA's Lifetime Achievement Award for TechnologyInnovation.

In the coming year, CASPA will continue to deliver our signature events (symposiums, special interest topic seminars and job fair) with greater emphasis on innovation/creation topics and events that will enable our members to become successful entrepreneurs while still closely collaborating with our corporate members. Furthermore, we will expand our focus in the area of "Investment and M&A" leveraging CASPA’s robust platform. It is my hope that we will all benefit from this.

Looking forward to meeting you all at CASPA's events.

James Lei, Ph.D.

Chairman and President, CASPA
