Job Title: Technical Program Manager (Individual Contributor)
SUMMARY: As a Technical Program Manager, you will support the business unit (engineering and sales) in account development. The Technical Program Manager must have an understanding of our customer’s business and their future plans. The Technical Program Manager will coordinate technical support to enable specific account strategies with engineering, sales and factory as well as providing package design support to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned: The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing all technical and business-related activities to help create optimal revenue with current and new customers. Must have a strong understanding of Semiconductor IC assembly and test manufacturing business, as well as a thorough technical knowledge of packaging solutions and process capabilities provided by offshore assembly facilities. Must be able to manage key technical and technology programs as well as provide technical package design and development support to the customer. Responsibilities include working with and managing cross functional teams to establish plans and key milestones for the technical program and deliver the program objective. Strong verbal and written skills are essential along with interpersonal communications skills. Must be a team player with excellent organizational, computer and project management skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ASE requires a BS in engineering and minimum of 10+ years of semiconductor technical manufacturing experience in IC packaging, test and wafer fabrication, with in depth understanding of the IC assembly and test processes. Additional familiarity and experience with the downstream electronics module and system manufacturing industry is a plus. Experience in working with customers and key stake holders on a program to resolve technical issues and the ability make sound business decisions to support the success of the program is required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisor responsibilities but must be able to organize and work with cross functional team inside ASE, and with customer to accomplish the program objective.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English and good communication skills are required, fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
