2024 CASPA Science and Engineering Fair
This Year’s Theme: HAM Radio Communications
Explore the applications of radio communications in real-world scenarios! Radio communications have many interesting and important applications in real life, such as emergency communications, global interactions among amateur radio enthusiasts, satellite communications, aviation and maritime communications, wireless sensor networks, medical devices, agricultural monitoring, and rescue and exploration activities.

Event Details The CASPA 2024 Science and Engineering Fair proudly presents a themed activity: Amateur Radio. This interactive event aims to inspire children’s interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through the practical applications of amateur radio. Amateur radio allows people to communicate over long distances without the internet or cell phones. At the fair, kids will learn how amateur radio works, explore the mysteries of radio waves, and operate a real amateur radio station. They will also learn about the real-life applications of this technology, such as in emergencies and global communications. This event is designed for K-12 students, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore and engage with STEM subjects in a hands-on environment. By participating in amateur radio activities, children will deepen their understanding of electronics, physics, and engineering, igniting their passion for STEM subjects.
Volunteer Recruitment
We are also recruiting volunteers of all ages. Whether you are an experienced operator or passionate about science education, your participation is welcome.
