Speaker Bios

Jeffrey Fields currently serves as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Branch in San Francisco. Prior to this post, he supervised an FBI interagency cyber-network operations group and a Weapons of Mass Destruction unit on the NY Joint Terrorism Task Force. For more than 16 years, Jeff has conducted extensive global operations in support of U.S. national security priorities, including multiple deployments on embedded assignments with U.S. Special Operations Command in Afghanistan and the Horn of Africa. He has acquired substantial expertise on national security policy and the complex geo-politics of Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. In addition, he has firsthand experience tackling the challenges encountered at the intersection of intelligence and cyber-technology. Prior to his career with the FBI, Mr. Fields served as a police officer with the NYPD, where he worked illegal firearms and violent felony investigations. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University and a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Jeff is currently a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Fellow with the Intelligence Project at Harvard’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. He volunteers as a mentor with the non-profit Girl Security, and he is an unabashed Hip Hop head and fan of the Opera.

Letitia Wu currently serves as a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) of the FBI. She has been with the FBI for 12 years. She started as an Intelligence Analyst in Washington D.C. before becoming a Special Agent in 2015. SSA Wu has worked on various criminal and national security investigations and currently supervises a national security squad in the FBI resident agency in Oakland.

Mark L. Krotoski represents and advises clients on antitrust cartel investigations; cybersecurity and privacy matters; trade secret, economic espionage, fraud, and foreign corrupt practices cases; and government investigations. With nearly 20 years of experience as a federal prosecutor and a leader in the US Department of Justice, Mark provides clients with a unique blend of litigation and investigative experience. He has tried 20 cases to verdict and successfully argued appeals before the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Sixth Circuits.

Zheng (Jen) Liu is a partner at Rimon P.C. She represents Asian companies and cross-border tech startups on IP and commercial disputes. With a background in both biology and physics, she speaks the language. Some well-known clients of hers are BGI, DJI, Everest Medicine, Xiaomi, and XPeng. Zheng has been litigating for more than 20 years. In addition to IP and technology, she also has substantial experience in other litigation with a technology aspect, such as criminal trade secrets cases. Before Rimon, she was at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP for more than 10 years where she established and led Orrick’s Drone & UAV practice. Zheng is a past President and former Board Member of Chinese American Lawyers of the Bay Area (CALOBA). Zheng obtained her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law and went to University of Science & Technology of China (中科大) for undergraduate studies.

Jialing Dailey is Senior IP Counsel at Atlassian advising on a broad range of IP matters arising from all stages of business objectives, corporate strategy, and product lifecycle. Prior to joining Atlassian, in reverse-chronological order, Jialing was Legal Counsel at Oracle Development and Engineering Legal, a patent attorney at Peter’s Verny, LLP, and a Patent Examiner at the Chinese Intellectual Property Administration (SIPO at the time).
