Technical Sales is an intermediate level position. Candidates will be responsible for handling inbound customer inquiries and identifying engagement opportunities. Technical Sales will determine the viability of potential customers looking for flash storage and graphics solutions. This position will assist Regional Sales Managers with follow-up inquiries, NDAs, Marketing Collateral, Sample Orders, Datasheets, and provide assistance in tracking customer qualifications, assisting with virtually managed inventories/HUB. They will be tasked with analyzing data to explain the benefits of SMI products and services to potential customers. A technical degree in the area of electronics, memory or graphics is desirable, but not required.
Minimum Requirements:
· Sales experience in semiconductor hardware is a plus.
· DRAM, Flash or Data Storage Experience is a plus.
· Proficient in verbal, written and presentation skills.
· Strong ability to comprehend technical discussions and write notes/summaries.
· Must enjoy working with dynamic people and building client relationships.
· General familiarity with PC system architectures and Windows/Linux OS environment
· Good knowledge of NAND flash, SATA, PCIe and NVMe standard is a plus.
