CASPA eLetter Issue 235 – Nov 30, 2022

Dear CASPA members and sponsors,

As CASPA strides into its thirty-second year, we would like to express our sincere appreciation of your continued support which allows this society to reach its current stage!

After a three-year pandemic, we were excited to see all of you again during our 2022 Annual Conference and Dinner Banquet (ACDB) on October 16. This year’s ACDB was held in a hybrid way due to the consideration of member’s health: The technical forum was held online, with five speakers from Western Digital, AMD, ARM, Synopsys, SambaNova, respectively, and five panelists from SiliconMotion, Etopus, Untether AI, Abacus and Expedera. The dinner banquet was held in person with a keynote speech delivered by ARM CEO, Rene Haas. The online technical discussion attracted more than 800 attendees, and the dinner banquet had more than 450 guests. The theme of our ACDB was “Computing, Connectivities and Storage: a Deep Dive into Tech Trends”. With computing, connectivity and storage being the three key components of today’s data center, technology innovations built around them are super important topics that attracted many researchers and engineers all over the world, it was also reflected by enthusiasm by the interaction between our speakers and audiences during the event. Furthermore, our dinner banquet guests enjoyed the keynote speech entitled “Our Cyclical Industry”, which covered the semiconductor industry history and its future trend.

Going forward, CASPA will keep its commitments to serve our local semiconductor communities. With always thinking about members and sponsors as our topmost priorities, CASPA will continue its missions to help members with their career development and technical advance, promote sponsors’ technological innovations and help them on talent recruiting.
