CASPA eLetter Issue 239- Jan 31, 2023

Dear CASPA Members, Sponsors and Volunteers,

Happy Rabbit Year! On behalf of CASPA, we hope you and your family have a wonderful new year!

Here are some updates on CASPA recent activities:

(1) On January 14, CASPA hosted an online law seminar to discuss the impact of the recent CHIP ACT on semiconductor companies and professional communities. We invited Jackson He from China Grit Ventures as our moderator, and Will Chen and Reid Whitten from Sheppard Mullin to give us a speech. More than 200 people participated in the seminar.

(2) On January 15, an in-person event, the CASPA New Year Gala, was hosted at Onelin Capital, San Jose. About 100 CASPA family members joined this event, it was our great pleasure to see everyone face to face after the three-year pandemic. Moreover, we had San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, as our honorary guest to join us for the new year celebration. This event is aimed to show our thanks to CASPA volunteers for their devotion to helping the local semiconductor community as well as for appreciating the time that CASPA volunteers spend away from their families to do work on various events.

We plan to host more events in the coming months, such as a special interest group seminar, a sponsor mixer, a spring symposium, and job fair seminars. Please stay tuned.
