Uniting Diverse Students for STEM Exploration on June 6, 2025

On June 6, 2025, Synopsys welcomed the CASPA Youth Club to its Sunnyvale, California headquarters for an inspiring and inclusive tour. Nearly 100 students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, representing over 30 California schools—including Lynbrook High School, Greene Middle School, and the University of Southern California—gathered to explore the forefront of technology innovation.

A Warm Welcome to Spark STEM Passion

The event launched with a dynamic welcome from Brandon Wang, Synopsys’ Vice President of Corporate Strategy, who introduced Synopsys’ mission to advance technology through human ingenuity and highlighted the critical role young minds play in shaping the future. Ron Duncan, Senior Staff Principal Program Manager, shared heartfelt remarks, while CASPA President Zhibin Xiao expressed deep gratitude to Synopsys for empowering the next generation of tech leaders from all communities.

Immersive Exploration of Innovation

Students toured Synopsys’ cutting-edge facilities, including collaborative workspaces and advanced tech environments, offering a firsthand look at industry-leading innovation. A lively Q&A session with Synopsys engineers provided valuable insights into engineering careers and the importance of teamwork. “As a CASPA Youth Club organizer, I was thrilled to see students connect with Synopsys experts, igniting tech career dreams and ideas for a better future,” said Andy Zhan from Bellarmine College Preparatory.

Hands-On Demos Fuel Tech Curiosity

Interactive demonstrations showcased Synopsys’ transformative impact, from transistor advancements to live Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tool demos, revealing the intricacies of high-performance chip design. “I enjoyed the tour because it gave us a unique opportunity to see how a large company like Synopsys operates internally, and the introduction to TCAD was especially interesting,” shared Elaine Xia from The Harker School.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Small group explorations of Synopsys’ innovative spaces sparked curiosity and excitement. In his closing remarks, Ron Duncan inspired students to pursue their tech dreams, emphasizing that Synopsys and CASPA are committed to planting STEM seeds in young minds to fuel a brighter future.
