Join us on March 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM for a law workshop about employment and startup. Our speaker, Zhaoxu Wang, a corporate attorney with extensive experience in companies and transactions, will introduce the legal issues related to employment and setting up/joining a startup company.

The workshop will cover a wide range of topics important to employees and startup companies, including whether an employee can start a startup while employed, what they must do before quitting their job to form a startup company, and when to incorporate a company. We will also discuss convertible notes and preferred stock, and how they work in company financing, as well as provide tips for stock options.

Speaker: Zhaoxu Wang

Zhaoxu Wang is a corporate attorney who has worked in big law firms and fintech startup companies. Zhaoxu advises clients on corporate transactions, general corporate governance, and investment matters, including entity formations, debt and equity financings, investments in limited partnerships, securities law compliance, and mergers and acquisitions. He is admitted to practice in California, New York, and China and received his law degrees from Northwestern University in the US and Fudan University in China.
