Achin Bhowmik
CTO & Executive VP of Engineering, Starkey
Adjunct Professor, Stanford University

 

Achintya K. (Achin) Bhowmik, Ph.D., is the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering at Starkey. He leads efforts to revolutionize hearing aids into multifunctional health and communication devices through advanced sensors and AI. Previously, he served as VP and General Manager at Intel’s Perceptual Computing Group, overseeing research in 3D sensing, AI, robotics, and immersive devices.

Dr. Bhowmik holds esteemed roles as an adjunct professor at Stanford University School of Medicine and Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. He is on advisory boards for UC Berkeley’s Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership, the Institute for Engineering in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, and the board of trustees for the National Captioning Institute.

A distinguished fellow of IEEE, AAIA, and SID, he has authored over 200 publications, including books and patents. Acknowledged for his contributions, Dr. Bhowmik received accolades such as the 2022 Notable Leader in Healthcare, the 2023 Top Healthcare Technology CTO, and the 2023 Artificial Intelligence Excellence award.

Robert Blake
CEO, Achronix

Robert Blake has worked in the semiconductor industry for over 25 years. Prior to Achronix Semiconductor he was the Chief Executive Officer of Octasic Semiconductor based in Montreal, Canada. Mr. Blake worked at Altera in a variety of sales, marketing and general management roles. As Vice President of Product Planning he was responsible for defining Altera’s programmable logic product solutions. He has been developing ASIC and programmable logic for high speed telecom and network applications for over 17 years. Prior to Altera, he worked at LSI Logic and Fairchild where he developed ASIC technology. He holds a MEng. in Business and Microelectronics and BSc. in Applied Physics & Electronics from the University of Durham in England.

 

 

Chloe Jian Ma
Vice President, China GTM, ARM

 

Chloe Jian Ma is VP of China Go-To-Market for the IOT and Embedded Line of Business at Arm. In this role, Chloe is responsible for strengthening and expanding Arm products, solutions and ecosystem for the China market so that the next wave of innovations in AIoT and embedded intelligence happen on the Arm platform. She joined Arm from the RISC-V world, where she worked for both SiFive and StarFive (SiFive’s China JV) and had her hands full with many aspects of the business from global technology partnership/ecosystem building, to GTM strategy, to fundraising and running a regional subsidiary.

Chloe’s experience in the semiconductor industry also included Mellanox and Intel, where she led the GTM of cloud networking and compute solutions into the hyperscale Internet and Cloud service provider segment. Prior to entering the semiconductor industry, Chloe assumed engineering and marketing leadership roles in the networking industry at Juniper Networks, Huawei and Cisco Systems. To close the full loop, her 1st job was with Wind River in real-time embedded OS with a vision to make everything smart! Chloe received an MBA degree from Wharton, an MSEE from University of Southern California, and a BS in Electronics from Peking University in China.

 

David Pan
Professor, University of Texas Austin

 

Dr. David Z. Pan is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, holding the Silicon Laboratories Endowed Chair in Electrical Engineering. He earned his B.S. degree from Peking University and his M.S./Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). With a research focus on electronic design automation, hardware security, and emerging technologies, he has published over 450 technical papers and holds 8 U.S. patents. Dr. Pan has advised over 40 PhD/postdoc students at UT Austin, now holding influential positions in academia and industry.

He has contributed to various editorial roles in prestigious journals and served in the Executive and Program Committees of major conferences. Dr. Pan received numerous awards, including the 2013 SRC Technical Excellence Award, DAC Top 10 Author in Fifth Decade, and ACM/SIGDA Outstanding New Faculty Award. He is a Fellow of ACM, IEEE, and SPIE. Additionally, his students have received several prestigious awards, recognizing their exceptional research contributions.

VP Sales, Expedera

 

William Kou currently serves as the VP of Sales at Expedera, a Silicon Valley startup that provides AI and machine learning silicon IP to customers who design their own ASICs. Prior to Expedera, he held sales and sales management positions at proteanTecs, GUC, UMC, Chartered (now Global Foundries), and Lattice Semiconductor. Early in his career, William spent twelve years working at IBM in various positions such as engineering, consulting, and sales, and he had experience working with technologies including networking, storage, software, and microelectronics. William received MS in electrical engineering (with a minor in computer science) form the University of Minnesota, and BS in electrical engineering from the Ohio State University. He has been an active board member at the Chinese-American Semiconductor Professional Association (CASPA) since 2008.
